Chris is an innovative entrepreneur with considerable international experience successfully growing businesses in the medical technology, energy and environmental sectors. He contributes at board level in technology fund management in the seed, venture and public capital markets.
He has taken an active interest in innovation policy over three decades through research, advisory roles and publications.
Chris has:
- Successfully managed the development of first-in-class genetic medical technology products from concept to the market in the USA and Europe.
- Founded university spin-out company Spirogen Ltd and managed the development of the novel cancer drug SG2000 from lab bench to Phase II trials.
- Co-founded the boutique technology management consultancy Paras Ltd that grew to have operations in four continents advising Fortune 100 companies in innovation management, environmental policy and discovery processes.
- Co-founded Xenva Ltd raising over £30m for early-stage technology companies in the medical technology, technology, photonics and material science sectors.
- Participated actively in the development of the Sainsbury Management Fellows that are set up to demonstrate that the combination of a Chartered Engineering status and a top MBA degree are ideal professional qualifications for future leaders of UK industry.
